这一种前面加上from是由于后面从句中，按照正常的语序是：kite flying apread from (where) to the world.在从句中where是放在前面的，而from又不能和to放在一起，所以也跟着where提到前面去。
用这种情况下，是和后面从句中的动词有直接关系的。
比如：He didn't know that girl，to whom the gift was given.
他不认识那个女孩，她得到了这份礼物。（例子举的有点别扭，只是为了说明用法哈）。
这里用to是因为后面的动词give在表达给某人的时候，需要用give to sb.的搭配。
