Just before noon on Sunday,volunteers are getting ready to serve a
lunch of fried chicken ,corn and peas in Americus,Georgia,USA.Kenyota
Peterson stands ready and she has packed with ice and drinks to go with
the 246meals that will be served in the next hour.
Kenyota Peterson, aged 16, has offerd an important he;p around the
kichen and dining area.This is her first experience as a volunteer and
she is a role model due to her hard work and cheerful spirit.
Kenyota is one of the young volunteers who have been an important
part of shelter operations since a string of deadly tornadoes swept
through this part of Georgia three days ago."This is my first time
volunteering, and i like it . I thought it would never happen to us
,but now i know it can.I like volunteering because I'm putting all my

A 16-year-old girl Kenyota worked as a volunteer with others to serve lunch for those who just suffered from deadly tornadoes in Americus, Georgia, USA. These volunteers showed the very spirits of helping people and made a good moral model of other young people.
Here in China to be a volunteer is getting more and more popular for many young people. Take us students as an example, we usually went to the community nearby our school to serve those old people who live alone and need help of others. When we went to the community, the community workers would lead us to those who need help most. Sometimes are those living-alone old people with on children. We helped them with cleaning the room and doing some housework. That we talk to them seems to be more important to these old people, as they often live a lonely life by themselves. In these activities I found the happiness of helping those who need help, and I cherish my happy satisfactory family more than ever.
