Ladies and gentlemen:
Good morning! It’s my pleasure to be here to express myself. I still remember that exciting day, on July 13th 2001. Our dream realized. Beijing has got the bid to hold the Olympic Games. I’m very excited and proud.
I’m very proud of Beijing—the capital of a big country in the east of the world. Although Beijing is an old city with thousands of year’s history, it’s not prosperous many years ago. We wished to hold an Olympic Games at that time. But it’s no longer a dream now. I believe, the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games will bring peace to the world, brings happiness, brings prosperity, and brings the hope! Beijing progressed!
