Series Circuits
ProProblem: Measure the voltage and current in a series circuit. The circuit should have 3 bulbs and a 9 volt source. Build the circuit on the Crocodile Clips program or on the virtual simulator online. Calculate the resistance and power of each bulb and the entire circuit using ohms law. Make a table in excel for all values. Build the circuit on the breadboard or with holiday lights and repeat the experiment.

Write equations for Voltage, Current, Resistance and Power and substitute your values in. Ex. Vt = V1 + V2 +V3

1. in computer, all the things are regard as ideal, there's no resistance of the connection wire and the clips. but actually, it's not. the multimeter we used is also not a ideal one, it has some deviation. in addtion, the resistance of the 3 bulb are not just the same because of the construction deviation.
I=I1=I2=I3
V=V1+V2+V3=I1*R1+I2*R2+I3*R3=I(R1+R2+R3)
