the village is on a river这个句子的介词短语能换成nest to或beside吗?(书里翻译为靠近一条小河)

next to不适合这样表达，一般next to连接的两个sth.都是非常接近或者相同性质的东西。Beside前面一般是加不及物动词的,比如sit beside等。

next to?may be,i'm not sure用on更地道，用那个也OK
