A:I was planning on signing up for the swiming class.but I heard it's full.
B:Reaslly?Thant's strange.There were nine swiming classes last semester,and this semester there are five more.
Question:How many semester are there this semester?答案为什么是14?请分析一下我比较笨!

我知道是14了there are five more. 是我这句话没理解
但是他为什么要说Thant's strange呀?

首先，个人认为你问题中的第一个semester应该是swimmers.应该问这学期有多少swimmers。上学期9个这学期增加5个，所以应该是14个

上学期9节,这学期:there are five more就是比上学期多5节.

and this semester there are five more. 这个学期多了5节

9＋5=14

9+5=14
