As you may know, Berkeley can be very expensive both in tuition and fees and in living expenses. For the current academic year (2008-2009), the estimate of tuition and fees is $29962 for undergraduate students and $25219 for graduate students (Figures do not include tuition for summer session or professional school fees). Expenses for living are estimated at about $1500/month for 12 months. After you are admitted to a degree program, you will be required to show evidence of these funds to our office to receive a Certificate of Eligibility (I-20 / DS-2019) document from the University. The document is necessary to receive a student visa from the U.S. Consulate or Embassy in your home country which allows you to enter and remain in the U.S. for the length of your degree program. Follow all Undergraduate and Graduate admissions procedures first as you will be guided through the necessary steps.
