1. as well as
-意思：也，和
-用法：谓语要和第一个主语一致（和as well as后的主语的无关）
e.g.: I, as well as my sons, am going to enroll

2. so as to
-意思：由于。。。以至于。。。
-与so that的区别： so as to do sth, 但是so that + 从句
e.g.:I don't want to show any upset so as not to worry my friends.
= I don't want to show any upset so that I don't want to worry my friends.
-与in order to的区别：in order to 有“做某事为了达到某个目的”而 so as to 只是提及原因和结果。
e.g.: The terrorists need hostages in order to bargain with the government.
3. check in/out动词，check-in/out名词
4. how do（does）sb look 看上去如何？
e.g.:-How does she look? -She looks pretty/young/sad/tired.
how be（is）sb （look like）/like 看上去像谁（外貌特征如何）?
e.g.:-How does she look like? -She just looks like ordinary person.
