能。连字符连起来的是形容词。第二个是名词所有格。都修饰后面的名词。

two-child是一个定语，修饰mother，而a也是修饰mother，是对的
a two childen’s mother 没有这样的语法。a和two都表示数量词“一个”，“两个”，而且全都不为定语词组时，是不可以连用的。
