通常说考试就指一个时期的考试,包含了大大小小的各个考试科目,所以"exam"后无须用"s",直接用"the exam"会更好。

前后句主语不一致.前句说的是"前几个星期",后句就应该继续说"前几个星期"怎么了.所以要用"it"代替"前几个星期来陈述.应这样改
"it becomes critical for college students to arrange their own schedules."

完整起来应该这样:
Several weeks before the exam,it becomes critical for college students to arrange their own schedules.
