看上市公司半年报的一个问题

Cash and cash equivalents at the end of the period 应该就是实际上的自由现金流吧？

还有一个问题，为什么两份连续的半年报，Cash and cash equivalent值接不上的？

比如，联想2002的半年报显示，9月末的现金流是2094575
但是联想2003的半年报显示，开端的现金流是：2441169
(Cash and cash equivalents at the beginning of the period)

这里的beginning是不是指的是2002年3月开始？

Cash and cash equivalents at the end of the period指期末的现金和现金等价物，包括现金、银行存款和三个月内到期的短期投资。

半年报是相对于年报来说的，实际意义就是指中期报告。所以，半年报的期初数，是指该会计年度的期初数，一般也就是当年公历年度初的数字，等于去年公历年度末经审计的数字。
所以，联想2003的半年报显示的期初现金和现金等价物应是2003年1月1日初的现金及现金等价物的余额。
