两道英语选择，请解析

（顺便问）究竟是compared with还是compare with?

选A,是be to do sth的句型，如，My aim is to go to Cambridge. BC都能排除啊，用B，就两个动词了，肯定错；C也语错，is be cleaning中怎能有is be共存！
选c，故事的开头，the beginning of,固定搭配，其中，beginning名词，不是形容词，所以不能直接加在名词book前，要有of连接，所以B不对；A,begin是动词，在这不能用。

至于compare，应该是compared with，与什么对比起来，是被动的，如; A is compared with B, A和B比起来……。还可以这样用：Compared with B, A is very small.

a，c，compared with固定搭配

第一个是A be to do
第二个是C
compare 是动词。是后面那个！

1.A.to clean 不定式，作表语，是其基本用法之一
2.C.beginning of 。。。。的开始/开头
3.是compared with 与。。。。比较起来
