理论上中国学生的确有理由不提供SAT（就因为中国没有考试），但SAT成绩是一个很重要的参考，没有很可能会吃亏。

但是录取与否不是只看成绩的。成绩好（sat,托福，高中成绩单）只是没有硬伤而已，老师推荐信、社会活动等同样重要。

所以“理论上”中国人去Stanford不要SAT

是证明了SAT不需要，只是没有SAT成绩，肯定没有奖学金是第一，第二就是录取有很大难度，所以建议考一下。

可以去香港考啊。其实不只对录取有影响，对你以后选课也会有影响。特别是写作，如果有SAT或者ACT，就像我考了SAT，然后我就可以直接上写作1XX的课程。我认识我们学校有中国人只考了托福，来到就要参加一writing test,没过关就要先上一个写作100X，第二个学期再上1XX，都是钱呐。

SAT其实是美国人可以最直接看到你个人能力的测试.他毕竟不是中国人,也不能多了解你在中国学校的分数到底是否就是那个数字代表的水平...虽然他们也会注重平时成绩...
因此像楼上讲的一样,SAT对于我们来说是个非常重要的给对方学校的参考.除非你是异常优秀吧~像我一个师兄一样拿作品到国际上参赛拿了银奖回来...或许在高考的拿到相当相当优异的成绩...这些学生通常对方都会很愿意去接收,并且会提供相当优渥的求学条件~
但是如果只是资质较优的学生,其实去考SAT还是会好一些吧~毕竟"理论"和实际还是有小小的不同
