a) ind the height of the cliff ignoring the time that the sound taked to travel back to you from the bottom.
B find the real heiht taking into account the speed of sound(340m/s) (Challenging)

忽略声音传播的话,深度=g*t*t/2=9.8*4.2*4.2/2=86.436米
b.
考虑声音传播,设深度h,则
根号(2h/g) + h/340=4.2
解得h=77.3282米
(数太大,我用matlab算的)

a) 不考虑声音传播消耗的时间,那么石头落到地面消耗的时间就是4.2秒,而石头就是做了简单的自由落体运动,加速度是g,所以悬崖的高度就是石头下落的长度,即

h = (1/2)gt^2 = (1/2)*10*4.2^2 = 88.2 米

b)考虑声音传播的时间,则总的时间t(4.2秒)被分成2段,即石头下落花费的时间t1和声音传播花费的时间t2,则满足如下公式,

h = (1/2)g(t1)^2
h = v(t2) (v是声音的速度)

同时,(t1) + (t2) = t,所以得到如下方程,

(1/2)g(t1)^2 = v(t2)
(t1) + (t2) = t

也就是

5*(t1)^2 = 340*(t2)
(t1) + (t2) = 4.2

所以得到t1,t2

h = v(t2)
