老师总是说包括和不包括。
我知道besides是包括，excpet是不包括。
那还有什么区别么。

先说except（but）与besides的区别：前者表示"除了……之外（不再有……）"，表示的是一种排除的关系；后者表示"除了……之外（还有……）"，表示的是一种累加关系： Besides his wife，his daughter also went to see him． I go to school every day except [but] Sunday． 但是以上区别通常只限于肯定句中，在否定句或疑问句中besides也可以表示"除……外，不再有……"（＝except）： No one passed the exam besides [except，but] Jim．除吉姆外，没一个人通过考试。
except，but一般不用于句首，但besides可用于句首。
