1.Can you tell me who is the man over there? 与 Can you tell me who the man over there is? 的区别
2.need做行为动词用时 need to do 和 need doing 有什么区别（最好给例句.半句例句也可以..）
3.My father plays guitar for____(relax).正确答案为relaxation.为什不可以用relaxing?

Q1.的两种用法都是正确的.不存在错误

1.Can you tell me who is the man over there? 与 Can you tell me who the man over there is? 的意思没有区别 ，后句的Who=whom, 表语，第一个who作主语；

2.need to do 需要做某事
need doing 是需要被做有被动的意思
如;I need to wash my clothes.
My clothes need washing.
need doing = need to be done
I need to mend my bike.
My bike needs mending.
3. relaxing 不具备纯粹的名词词性；

1. 第一句 who is 严格来说是错误的，在这里who the man over there is 作宾语从语，应该是陈述语气，所以后句是对的。
2.need to do 需要做什么， need doing 被动语态
example: we need to take off as soon as possible since it is getting late.
the car needs fixing. (车需要修理了）
3.for 后加名词形式，relax 名词是relaxation, 不是relaxing,
可以说 My father plays guitar to relax himself.
