-The Renaissance, a period of rebirth and learning. Also a period of returning of science and practicality. The period of European society shifting away from religious dominating society into secular and science dominated society.

-Began in Northern Italy. City of Florence, where wealthy businessman and enlightened scholars first proposed the idea of secular society which emphasize on the importance of business, industry and technologies.
