near 与 in front of 有什么区别

near 表示在附近 near my desk there is a chair 在桌子旁边有一把椅子（不能确定上下左右的关系）
there is a chair in front of my desk 在我的桌子前方有一把椅子 （可以确定方向）

near是什么的附近，in front of是什么的前面 near作形容词。 (1)表示"邻近的,接近的"。如：a near translation接近原文的翻译。(2)也可以表示"亲密的,近亲的"。如：He is my near friend. 他是我最好的朋友。
