这句话不是圣经里的 它出自于美国基督教神学家尼布尔Niebuhr写下的祷文。二战的时候这篇祷文突然出名了，在美国印刷了4000多万张，每一个出征前的海军士兵都拿了一张。当时卡特当选美国总统的时候还把这个Niebuhr写的书放在床头，称为他政治生涯的圣经。

愿上帝赐予我平静
God grant me the serenity

能接纳我无法改变的事
to accept the things I cannot change;

愿上帝赐予我勇气 能改变我可以改变的事
courage to change the things I can;

并赐予我智慧 让我能分辨这两者的不同
and wisdom to know the difference.

神学家尼布尔1934年写下了一篇堪称20世纪最著名的祷告文：
“My God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
The courage to change the things I can,
And the wisdom to know the difference. ”
（我的上帝，请赐我宁静，去接受我不能改变的一切；
赐我勇气，去改变我所能改变的一切，
并赐我智慧，去分辨两者的不同。）

末世将至,魔鬼操纵种种人来攻击真道，想要跌到信徒。而神的应许从未改变。

God gave me calm,
Can accept the things I can not be changed.
God gave me courage,
Change I can change things.
And gave me wisdom,
So that I can differentiate between the two are different.
