其实，这里的炉子一定翻译成stove吗？stove很具体，给人的印象就是一个黑色的铁炉子，上面有个烧水的壶，可能最都能想像出的就是那壶还冒的水汽；不免觉得缺少了“夜话”的温馨、浪漫和神秘感。而oven就更不合适了，烤箱专门用来bake\broil\roast东西（三者皆为“烤”），没有取暖的功用。
我的理解，“话”作为中心词，“夜”起修饰作用，当把视角放大，“夜话”又被“围炉”修饰，“围炉”在汉语中为动宾词组，起英文中的“状态条件”的副词性修饰作用。因此，“围炉”不一定要对应地转化为英文的动宾结构（surrounding the stove)，而完全可以用副词表示。

如果不在乎强调那个词，还可以：
fireside chats at night

evening 和night，楼主看情况决定，我考虑的是late in the evening的时段，比如11点以后，而不是晚上的热播时段（8-10pm).
