UC知道关于which和where的用法问题

我总是搞不清楚什么时候该用which什么时候该用where，请问有什么简单易懂的方法区分一下吗？
比如这道题：The hotel___during the vacation was rather poorly managed.
A.as I stayed B.which I stayed C.where I stayed D.what I stayed
为什么选了C，而不能选B呢？
The days ___you could travel without a passport are gone.
A. of which B.on which C.in which D.at which
这道题选了C，我知道in which-where请问这道题为什么就选C呢？

你要看动词是怎么修饰那些名词的，第一句里，stay和hotel的关系是stay in the hotel,从句中没有in，所以是in which，也就是where。第二句是只是考介词吧，在那些日子里，in比较合适吧，觉得和where无关，就算是in which，这里也不能换成where
