前一种说法肯定错误

是hope that you become better,省略了that

没有hope sb. to do的用法，要带复合宾语可以用wish: wish sb to do

hope 没有什么用法的.
hope 后面直接加上完整的句子.

example:
1. you become better.
I hope you will become better
或者 i hope that you will become better.

2. everything is ok.
i hope (that) everything is ok.

3. i will pass the exam.
i hope (that) i will pass the exam.
