一道英语高考选择题

这个题，给出的答案是第三个选项，可是我怎么看也不知道为什么，谁能给我解释一下啊？越详细越好。

taste是实意动词做系动词，这类词语的特殊之处在使用时当作系动词用，后面加形容词，而不加副词。
如：The food tastes good/delicious.(不用well,因为well为副词,delicious为形容词）
又,The flowers smells sweet.
The fur feels soft.
其中的smell,feel都是系动词,这类词因为当作系动词,所以不用被动语态.在表原因时,直接用ing形式.
这样A.C.D显然就不对了.
至于LS那位朋友,only to句式表示偶然.吃惊的,不在预料之内的情况~不等于此处的tasting
如:The fans rushed to the station,only to find the singer had already gone.

tasting = only to taste

taste在这里的意思是"...尝起来...",是个系动词,后面跟形容词,其本身不用被动和完成,只能用主动或进行.该句主语是the food,说它尝起来怎么样只能用taste,而不用was tasted,此处作非谓语,应填tasting...类似这样的动词还有sound seem等感官动词,stay remain等表状态的词.
