used to 和 used to be

前者后面跟动词而后者跟形容词或名词

1.As he used to +动词
带有“就像他过去常做的”之意。(重点在于“做”）

例句：He liked to repeat what he said, as he used to repeat his lectures.
（他喜欢一再重复他所说的话，就像以前他过去常常重复课程讲义一样）

2. As he used to be
带有“就像曾经的她/他”之意。（重点在于“怎样”）

例句：He’s not as important as he used to be。
（他再也不像过去那么重要了）
