成本控制始于十九世纪末到二十世纪初，是西方发达国家用于其生产领域对生产成本进行有效研究的雏形。经过几个世纪的发展研究，成本控制管理模式已经成为世界范围内各行各业经济生产生活中不可或缺的一种手段。成本控制方法引入我国后，迅速为人们所接受，并在较大范围内得以推广和应用，但由于成本控制理论的不完善和企业实际应用的不成熟，很多企业成本控制的应用还没有取得令人满意的效果。本文以我国企业为例，多方面分析成本控制方法在实际运用方面存在的问题并提出成本控制的改进方法，力求结合实际情况充分运用现代科学的成本控制方法，使成本控制在我国现代化企业管理中发挥越来越大的作用，以增强我国企业的竞争力，缩短我国企业与国外先进企业的较大差距。
