一般来说，否定句可以分为全部否定句和部分否定句。全部否定句在上一单元已经学过，这里主要学习部分否定句。部分否定句其实是一种特指否定句。这类句子由含有全体意义的代词和副词加not构成。含有全体意义的代词和副词叫做总括词。如all,both,every,everybody,everything,everywhere,always,altogether,wholly,entirely等。如：
I don't woolly agree to the plan.我不完全同意此计划。
One is not always happy.一个人并不总是快乐的。
Both brothers are not clever.兄弟俩并不都是聪明的。
Everyone cannot make music.不是所有的人都懂音乐。
要注意区分部分否定句和全部否定句。如：
Not all that glitters is gold.=All that glitters is not gold.
发光的并不都是金子。
None that glitters is gold.发光的都不是金子。
又如：
Not both sentences ara right.=Both sentences are not right.
并非两个句子都正确。
