《绝命终结站2》的故事发生在第一集事件的1年之后。上一集的主角终究在死神面前束手就缚了，但当人们开始渐渐淡忘那些陈年旧事的时候，历史却再次重演了。
新任女主角金·柏莉为了与大学好友庆祝假日的到来，准备进行一趟阳光之旅-----一边开车一边party来度过快乐时光。在路上好友们发现高速公路上的车速越来越快，而这时候金·柏莉眼前却恍惚闪过一连串真实得让人难以相信的连环车祸恐怖景像，并且她与朋友都将惨死轮下。
