其中 “than is normal for human beings”is前面的主语是什么？不用翻译，我知道译文。多谢大家！
these drugs 肯定不对，因为后面是is,而不是are
句子没有错，是课文里面的。

应该这么理解，is 前面省略了主语it,而it指代的应该是they creat supreme athletes making them faster and stronger这句话，另外还有一种可能就是is 本身用错了。

than is 是个句型，中间不存在主语
