中国的许多家长望子成龙心切，因而超越孩子实际水平的高要求、拔苗助长的教育方式、恨铁不成钢的态度在家庭里到处弥漫。在孩子的成长过程中，除生活上加倍关心外，家长最关心的是孩子的学习。为使孩子学习成绩好，将来“光宗耀祖”，学习之外的事情家长都不让孩子干，似乎学习好就是万能的，而对孩子的独立生活能力、社会适应能力、心理健康程度、道德情操以及公民意识等则关心甚少，有的甚至完全不顾。

Many chinese parents are too anxious to make their children to be genius,so that a high demand beyond the actual level of the children,an excessive educational way and an attitude of unsatisfactory are dispersed in the atmosphere of home.During the period of grown up,what parents take most care of is their studies besides careness in life.To gain a good mark of their studies in order to make them proud,children are free from anything else but study.It seems that it's almighty to be good at study whereas take little concern to the capability of independence,social adaptability,the extent of mental health,morality and civic awareness even ignore them entirely.
