1.Though women are better treated nowadays than in the past, some ideas are still deep-rooted in China.Most people think that male is superior than female,therefore ,in daily lives, men have more opportunities when looking for job.Even men and women are doing the same job,men tends to gain more salaries than women and they are easier to get promotion.
2.Most parents want to have son,because they think that with a son,when they become old,their son will support them and care for them. Especially in rural areas,farmers want to have more sons to work in the field. While for daughters,most people hold the opinion that they will sooner or later marry someone else. A married daughter is no longer the family member.For this reason,women are often treated unequally.
3.Compared with men, women are seldom economically independent,therefore,they have to rely on men.This is also the reason that women are treated unequally.
