这句话有问题吗？帮忙一下

我不知道是不是真的有问题，不过就我在美国的说话习惯的话，我会这么改：
During the youth, kids are not (as mature), they do not think profoundly; their frankness (led) them into darkness and gloom.
我改的只是语法而已。

年轻时，孩子们不太成熟，缺乏深思，坦率使他们陷入阴暗。

最后一句made换成led比较好
