其中'd是什么，all后面不应该用谓语动词复数么为什么这里用was
第三句是定语从句，all是先行词，我就是想知道有had wanted这种说法么？当然我不知道'd是什么。
第二句话为什么不用take part in？

(1)指加入某个党派，团体组织等，成为其成员之一，意为：“参军、入团、入党”等。如：

(2)和某人一道做某事，其结构为：join sb. In (doing) sth.，根据上下文，in (doing) sth. 也可以省去
