Ladies and Gentlemen, today my topic is “Opportunities and Challenges in Today’s World”.
I think no one will doubt that today’s world has been more competitive than before. Also companying with competitions, there are various kinds of opportunities and challenges.
How about today’s world? There are several words can describe it such as globalization, information age and globe financial crisis.
Nowadays globalization is not only a phenomenon but also an overarching international system shaping the domestic politics and foreign relations of virtually every country. As Friedman said, “Globalization can be incredibly empowering and incredibly coercive. It can democratize opportunity and democratize panic. It makes the whales bigger and the minnows stronger. It leaves you behind faster and faster, and it catches up to you faster and faster. While it is homogenizing cultures, it is also enabling people to share their unique individuality farther and wider.”
