本课题研究的目标是设计并实现适合军队基层伙食单位特点的物资管理系统(Material Management System, MMS)。该系统可以使管理人员安全、方便、快捷、高效的掌握库存信息，最大限度的提高物资管理效率。
本文从物资管理系统的设计开发背景出发，介绍了整个系统的概要设计、技术支持和具体实现，主要内容包括：
（1）根据结构灵活、扩展性强和易用性好的设计原则，通过对用户的业务需求分析，完成了业务流程和系统总体结构设计；
（2）简要介绍了系统设计和实现过程中涉及到的各种技术，包括：面向对象程序设计、C/S和B/S体系架构、NetBeans集成开发环境、MVC架构、MySQL数据库技术；
（3）给出了物资管理系统的详细设计方案，包括系统功能设计和数据库结构设计两部分，并介绍了具体实现过程和关键技术；
本文的最后在总结工作的基础上，根据用户在使用过程中的反馈信息，确定了下一步系统的改进方向。
