It isn't so interesting as London, but the air is much cleaner. 这样就很顺了：）not so...as...的用法比较正规，是as。。。as。。。的否定用法。

but改成 because

It isn't so interesting like London
好像 不妥
interesting like London 怎么读怎么别扭，不知道要说什么，语法上interesting 后面好像没有＋like 的组合

有没有中文？或者你想表达的意思？
我是这样理解的：不像伦敦那样有趣，但空气更加干净。
It's not interesting like London, but the air is much better.
