英语中连词符号在复合词中的使用规律

正规连词符是在一行中最后一词写不下时，按发音加，如interesting，正确写法in--teresting，或interes--ting，不可以写inter--esting，再如salvation，应写sal--vation，salva---tion，不可sa--lvation

我举几个例。
A two-year-old boy.
A two years old boy.
Two thirds of my friends.
Two-third ~

没有什么明显的规律,通常情况下在一个句子换行的时候（如果一个较长的单词没有拼写完，可在前一个音节后加连字符）或者在某些合成词中.如：She is an interest-ing boy. interesting这个单词，在一行末尾写不开了，可按音节把ing移至下一行，而在interest后加一个表明单词没有写完；再如pencil-box铅笔盒；a two-year-old boy 一个两岁的小男孩
