At the end of 2005 Walter was half as old as his grandmother.The sum of the years which they were born in is 3860.How old would Walter be the end of 2006?

在2005年时walter的年龄是他外婆年龄的一半，两个人的出生日期加起来是3860.那么在2006年walter的年龄是多少？

这道题的英语和汉语我都有！甚至连答案都有（可能是51岁我不知道对不对），可我有些不明白！望大哥大姐帮忙做一下可以讲解一下更好！好的加分！！！

(2005-X)×2=2005-（3860-x）

我做出来了！
设x 为walter的出生年，y为walter的出生年，x>y,根据题目列出方程：
根据第一句话“在2005年时walter的年龄是他外婆年龄的一半”，得出在2005年时walter的年龄是（2005-x),则walter的外婆的年龄为2*（2005-x),综上列出方程：
2005-y=2*(2005-x)
x+y=3860
解得x=1955,y=1905,所以在2006年的时候，walter的年龄是（2006-1955）=51
所以答案就是51！

设walter2005年的年龄为x，walter出生年分为2005-X,外婆年龄为2x.外婆出身年分为2005-2x.则2005-x+2005-2x=3860.解得x=50 则walter2006年的年龄为51
