Most of us think that dust is a tiresome (烦人的)thing.Dust makes the house dirty,and much time has to be spent in dusting the rooms.
It is true that many germs(细菌)live in dust,and everyone knows that germs carry disease. Therefore dust in houses is harmful.
Yet without dust in the air, we can not have the soft daylight and the beauty of the blue sky. The dust reflects the light and apreads it around. Without dust, there would be no clouds and no rain.
So we see that, though we must keep as much dust as we can out of our houses, yet dust plays a very important role(作用)in the work of nature.
