Apparel ,Garment & Clothing 三者有什么区别吗，请教？

1、词性不同

Apparel、Garment、Clothing三个单词做为名词时都有“衣服”、“服装”的意思。但做为动词时Clothing、Garment是及物动词，Apparel是不及物动词。

2、表达衣服类型不同

Clothing特指某种衣服，Garment比较正式，一般是服装行业和时尚行业用，Apparel尤指华丽或特殊的服装。

3、基本用法不同

Clothing用于给...提供衣服。

Some locals offered food and clothing to the refugees.

一些当地人为难民们提供食品和衣服。

Garment用于种类衣服。

She left school to go to work as a dress model in the garment company. 

她离开学校到服装公司当时装模特儿。
