Dear Mr and Mrs Johnson,

I have arrived home safely, everything went smoothly on the way back, but I felt sad because I wished that I could stay at your home for a bit longer.

When I first made the choice of staying at someone’s house in a totally different country, I thought I would be quite lonely because I had no friends there. But you two proved me wrong. You treated me as if I was part of your family, I am very grateful for that. Thanks a lot for letting me stay at your home for two weeks. I am very glad that I got to know you couple. I have to say that you helped me a lot during the stay, the trip to the Festival of Culture at Halton wouldn’t be fun without you two.

I thank you again for the food and accommodation you provided for me. I hope we can stay in contact and maybe someday I will visit you again.
