本文对游戏教学法在小学英语课堂中的运用的理论和实践作了初步探讨。通过对游戏教学法的内涵及种类的相关理论的阐释，说明了小学英语课堂中运用游戏法的重要性，并且对其基本步骤进行了简要的叙述，详尽阐述了小学英语课堂中实施游戏教学法时应注意的问题，并且提出了相应的解决策略。本文进一步证实了:小学英语课堂中运用游戏教学法有利于调动学生的积极性，激发其对英语学习的兴趣。因此，要不断改革教学方法，开发创新丰富多彩的游戏并运用到小学英语课堂中去，寓教于乐，让学生在“乐”中学、“趣”中学、“活”中学、“做”中学，为今后的英语学习奠定良好的基础。

in this study, the theorical and practical applications of Games Teaching Method (GTM) in the primary school english classes are initially studied. Based on the detailed explanations of category and definition of GTM, the importance of introduction of GTM in the primary school english teaching is described. The implementation of basic procedure is also presented. Some notable problems and corresponding solutions during GTM applied in the primary school English teaching is involved detailedly.
The viewpoint that GTM could activate and stimulate the students' studying interest in English language has been further validated. Therefore, it is necessary to consistently reform teaching methods and to create variable teaching games to apply for the primary school Ennglish classes, making students get "fun","interest", "practice", and "experience" from teaching and build up a good foundation for the further english study.
