英语问数量是不是不管回答多少，问句中名词都要加s？

如：问 How much (是bird还是birds)are there?
答 There only one.

How much有多少的意思，也有多少钱的意思，后面只能跟不可数名词，所以How much bird(s)错的。How many后面接可数名词，而且一定是复数，就算只有一个，但是提问者不知道，也用复数，给你个例子吧，
-How many books are there on the table?
-There is only one.

如果是不可数名词
用how much 不用加s
