摘 要：减速器是一种由封闭在刚性壳体内的齿轮传动、蜗杆传动或齿轮—蜗杆传动所组成的独立部件，常用在动力机与工作机之间作为减速的传动装置；在少数场合下也用作增速的传动装置，这时就称为增速器。减速器由于结构紧凑、效率较高、传递运动准确可靠、使用维护简单，并可成批生产，故在现代机措中应用很广。
齿轮减速器按减速齿轮的级数可分为单级、二级、三级和多级减速器几种；按轴在空间的相互配置方式可分为立式和卧式减速器两种；按运动简图的特点可分为展开式、同轴式和分流式减速器等。齿轮减速器的特点是效率高、寿命长、维护简便，因而应用极为广泛。本课题就是齿轮传动的一个典型应用。
