居中demand后面直接跟一个exceeding,这个exceeding是属于什么用法?请再举一个例子.谢谢

意思为 超过
exceed为动词，超越、超过、多于的意思。
文中因为due to后只能跟名词/名词性从句，所以原本的demand exceeds our expectations中，将动词excced(s)改为ing动名词，使之成为名词性从句。

这个不是exceed或者exceeding本身的问题，关键是前面的due to。due to后只跟名词，从句中的动词都要转为ing。
