could be和can be，could possibly和might just

请问这里的“可能”用过去时（could），不用can be是因为虚拟语气的缘故吗？如果不是虚拟语气的句子，“can be可能”这种说法也存在吗？

might just也是表示可能，这里为什么不能使用？

It can be 是比较确定的说法。也常出现。它很可以是/一定是。。。

might just可能性太小，也许的意思

这里表推测——应该是，

因为是情人节，很可能的情况，但是猜的，也不确定，所以用虚拟。

这两个都是要表明一种委婉的猜测语气，不确定性，can be 过于生硬，just过于激烈，都不够委婉，并且不能表达出“猜测”的意思。
