这样理解，因为because of of是介词后面必须是名词结构
如果是because，你说的就对了

是动名词复合结构
because of 不加句子
而且his mother is being there 是个错误的句子
直接his mother is there 不就行了

because of只能接名词或名词短语
而his mother is being there是句子。

没那么复杂
不就是强调么……
