another指多着（至少三者）中的另一个 表示单数“另外一个”

the other 指两者中的一个 表示单数“另外一个”

others 表示复数“其余中的一部分 ”

the others 表示复数 其余的全部

一般固定搭配是这样的

little及 a little 后面接不可数名词，但是little 是否定词，指几乎没有。
few及 a few后面接可数名词， 但是few也是否定词，指几乎没有。
