UC知道无法安装基于isolinux的linux发行版

最近由于学习的原因，需要安装linux，选中了Ubuntu9.04，遗憾的是无论如何也安装不上。具体表现是：在vista下用虚拟光盘安装之后，重启，选中系统linux，然后几屏字之后系统就出现了Ubuntu 的标志，黑底，下面有个红色的进度条，再接下来就卡了，进度条停留在左边不动了····，此时，硬盘也不再转了····我把系统可在cd上又重新安装，结果依旧。
后来就换了fedora11，同样的情况出现了······
Ubuntu9.04的安装盘下有一个install目录，里面有个readme文档，是这么说的：
About the Smart Boot Manager image
----------------------------------
The file `sbm.bin' that is available in this directory may be useful
to you if you are not able to directly boot the first CD because your
BIOS may be too old and may not support ISOLINUX.
Then, instead of booting on the CD directly, you create a Smart Boot
Manager floppy image by using the sbm.bin disk image. You can create this
floppy with rawrite (under DOS) or with dd (under Linux). Now you can
boot on this floppy disk and it will detect your CDROM and let you boot
on it bypassing any BIOS limitation.
后来就换了fedora11，同样的情况出现了······

楼主纯粹找打。
你用的是虚拟光驱。那么你怎么保证在你没有进入 Windows 的时候还能继续使用只能在 Windows 里面才能使用的虚拟光驱？？？
就好像你在家没有信箱的钥匙，就让家人把钥匙给你邮寄过来，之后……你怎么打开信箱拿里面的钥匙？
改用 ubuntu 的硬盘安装方式装吧。
装linux不能用虚拟光驱，和windows下装windows是不同的
用nero之类软件，刻成光盘
9.04 可以光盘起动的啊!

您可以试下直接从光盘起动安装。BIOS里设置。
如果您说的是wubi.exe安装的话，大概不会出现了。
对于wubi.exe安装方式，您可以上网看一下文章。
另ubuntu对sis芯片支持不是特别好。
用wubi装最方便,就像在windows下安装软件一样,ubuntu用的人最多,现在出到9.04,fedora也很好
