1.The weights(重量) of two boys are in the ratio 5:4.If the weight of the thinner boy is 48kg,what is the weight of the other?

2.The lenghs(长度) of two rivers are in the ratio 12:7.The length of the longer one is 42km.Find the length of the shorter one.

60和24.5
第1题是说两个人体重比为5:4
48除以4再乘5得60
第2题是两条河长的比为12:7
42除以12在乘7得24.5

5:4=x:48
x=60

2,Let the shorter river is xkm,then,
12:7=42:x
x=7*42/12=24.5

1.两者之比5：4，瘦的为48kg，另一个为5/4×48=60kg；
2.两者比12：7，长的为42km，另一个为42/（12/7）=24.5km

1 48*5/4=60
2 42/(12/7）=24.5
