Every year we have a special show at our school . Students put on the show . Some students play music . Other students act or do tricks . Most of the students’ parents come to the show. The tickets are really expensive because the school puts on the show to get money for the school. This year I was in the show . I read a poem . I have never read a poem in front of people before. I was very nervous .I practiced reading the poem every day for many weeks before the show. I did not want to forget any of the words . When I went on the stage, my mouth was dry . “I can’t do this,” I thought and I wanted to run away . But I made myself begin the poem , and soon I stopped feeling nervous. I read it well and did not forget any of the words Everyone clapped when I finished . I felt very proud , but I was also happy when it was over . I don’t think I want to do that again. Once was enough.

每年我们学校都有一个特殊的秀场。学生是秀场的主角，有的同学演奏音乐，其他学生演戏或者表演杂技。大多数同学的父母都会来秀场。入场卷很贵因为学校想乘机赢利。这一年我参加了那场秀，朗诵一首诗。我还从来没有在众人面前朗诵过诗歌呢，我紧张极了。表演前好几个星期，我每天都在练习朗诵那首诗。我可不想忘记那怕一个字。当我走上舞台的时候，我口干舌燥，说不出话来。“我办不到了”，我心里说，只想跑掉。但是我还是开始了朗诵，很快我就不再紧张了。当我一字不漏，非常完美地朗诵结束的时候，大家随即开始为我鼓掌。我感觉自豪极了，事后我也很开心。我想我再也不会那样了，一次就足够了。
